Eshwar Pastapur

Eshwar Pastapur is the current VP & Chief Information Officer at Hastings Mutual Insurance Company. Eshwar has held this position since April of 2017. Prior to that, they were the CIO at Trustmark Voluntary Benefit Solutions from August 2012 to April 2017.

Eshwar has been in the IT field for over 20 years. Eshwar started their career at GE/Swiss Re in March 2001 as a Global IT Leader. Eshwar then went on to Horace Mann in December 2006 as their Vice President, P&C Information Technology.

Eshwar is responsible for spearheading a multimillion-dollar, multi-year transformation project to replace a legacy policy administration system at Hastings Mutual Insurance Company. The new solution will allow the company to grow in-organically by entering into new market segments.

Other responsibilities of their include:

-Participating in all strategic discussions within voluntary benefit solutions and providing thought leadership on any technology related items

-Creating a 3 year roadmap for all projects/initiatives that deliver/enable business value

-Providing technology best practices and solutions that keep VBS on the fore front

-Leveraging any enterprise technology synergies that benefit VBS

Eshwar Pastapur has a Master of Engineering in Computer Science and Engineering from Motilal Nehru National Institute Of Technology. Eshwar also has a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Communications from PDA Engineering College.
