David Essink

David Essink has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. David started their career in 1989 as an English Teacher/Coach at Ewing Public Schools and worked there until 1994. Following that, they joined Clay Center Public Schools as an English Teacher from 1994 to 2002. From 2002 onwards, David worked at Hastings Public Schools in various roles. David started as an English Teacher and then became an Assistant Principal from 2005 to 2011. David then served as a Principal until 2019. Finally, David assumed the position of Director of HR and Operations at Hastings Public Schools in July 2019, where they continue to work.

David Essink obtained an Ed.S. degree in Educational Administration, with a focus on K-12 Principal and K-12 Superintendent, from the University of Nebraska at Kearney.
