John Fisher

Director - Sustaining Engineering at Hatch Lighting

John Fisher has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. John started their career at Sypris Electronics, LLC as a Test Engineer in 1995. John then joined Key Safety Systems (formerly BREED Technologies) in 1992, where they served as the Electrical Engineering Manager responsible for developing airbag electronic crash controllers. John led projects in Lakeland, USA and Regensburg, Germany for the introduction of these controllers. In 2007, John became the Electrical Engineering Manager at E-One, where they led the department in developing new technology and vehicle electrical systems. John also contributed to the development of NFPA requirements for seatbelt monitoring systems. In 2008, they joined Hatch Lighting as the Director of Engineering, where they spearheaded a multinational lighting systems engineering group and implemented a controlled product development and manufacturing process. As an Independent Consultant since 2013, John provided their services to multiple companies, including serving as interim director of engineering at Hatch Lighting. John led efforts to update their product line of LED drivers and oversaw the release of other advanced driver designs. Throughout their career, John has demonstrated strong leadership and expertise in engineering and product development.

John Fisher attended the University of Central Florida from 1978 to 1982, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. John then went on to pursue further education at the University of South Florida from 1993 to 2000. During this period, they obtained a Master's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering as well as a Master's in Business Administration.
