Mary Beth Reed currently serves as the Solicitor General Fellow in the Office of the Solicitor General at the North Carolina Department of Justice, beginning in August 2023. Prior to this role, Mary Beth worked as a Staff Attorney at JusticeMatters, Inc. from September 2021 to July 2023, providing trauma-informed legal services in family law. Mary Beth's legal experience includes a Family Law Legal Internship at JusticeMatters in early 2021, a Law Clerk position at the United States Attorneys' Offices in 2020, and various roles related to immigration and judicial externship at the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Mary Beth's foundation in education includes a JD from Duke University School of Law and a Bachelor's degree in Political Economy and Spanish from Williams College, supplemented by a teaching assistantship and a Fulbright Program experience in Spain.
