Michael Chavez

Michael Chavez is currently the superintendent at Hatch Valley Public Schools. Prior to their current position, they worked for the State of New Mexico, the New Mexico Association for Bilingual Education, and the New Mexico State Bilingual Advisory Council. Chavez has also worked as a teacher and administrator in the Deming Public Schools system.

Michael Chavez obtained a Master of Arts in Education from NMSU in the field of Curriuclum and Instruction - TESOL. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Education from NMSU in the field of Secondary Education.
