Margaret Appenheimer

Director Of College Counseling at HATHAWAY BROWN SCHOOL

Margaret Appenheimer is an experienced educational leader currently serving as the Director of College Counseling at Hathaway Brown School since August 2013, where responsibilities include managing the college counseling program and aligning its philosophy with the school's mission. Previous roles at Hathaway Brown include Co-Director and Associate Director of College Counseling, as well as Upper School English Teacher. Prior to this, Margaret worked at Oberlin City Schools as the IB Middle Years Program Coordinator and as an eighth-grade Language Arts teacher. Additional teaching experience includes an instructor role at Oberlin College for the Masters in Music Education Program and an eighth-grade core teacher position at Hillview Middle School. Margaret holds a Master’s Degree in Education from Stanford University and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Loyola Marymount University.
