Melissa Nilsen is an experienced Visual Art Teacher currently working at Hathaway Brown School and Campus International School at CSU since 2017 and 2014, respectively. Nilsen specializes in planning and teaching International Baccalaureate visual arts programs for students in kindergarten through eighth grade, utilizing various mediums including painting, drawing, printmaking, fiber arts, and sculpture. Previous roles include teaching at Birchwood School, providing breastfeeding support as a Peer Counselor at MetroHealth, and working as a Residential Case Manager for young adults with mental illness. Melissa Nilsen holds a Bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences from Kent State University and a Teaching Licensure in Visual Arts from Notre Dame College.
