Torrey Loomis has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Starting in 1994, Torrey served as a Non-Commissioned Officer in the United States Marine Corps Reserve. From 1995 to 1996, they worked as a Reserve Police Officer for the City of Marina. In 1996, Torrey joined the Scotts Valley Police Department as a Detective. Moving into the corporate world, they became the President & CEO of Silverado Systems, Inc. in 2003. Torrey later transitioned to the film industry, working as an Executive Producer for Silverado Studios, LLC from 2007 to 2012. In 2013, they became a Visual Designer for Firebrand. Most recently, Torrey has been serving as the Creative Director for Hattori Hanzo Shears since April 2018.

Torrey Loomis has a diverse education history. From 1992 to 1999, they attended Monterey Peninsula College, where they obtained three associate degrees. Torrey earned an Associate of Arts in Liberal Arts, an Associate of Arts in Psychology, and an Associate of Science in Law Enforcement. Torrey then went on to further their education at California State University, Monterey Bay, where they completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Computing, Telecommunications, and Multimedia from 1995 to 1999.

In addition to their formal education, Torrey Loomis also obtained various certifications. In 2005, they received the Apple Xsan for Pro Video Certification. The following year, in 2006, they became certified as an Apple Certified Desktop Technician, an Apple Certified Mac Technician, and an Apple Certified Portable Technician. In 2007, they obtained an Apple Certified System Administrator certification from Apple.
