The family run company employs more than 900 employees, more than five percent of them in the field of research and development. In 2014, a turnover of approximately 155 million Euro was achieved. Motorenfabrik Hatz GmbH Co. & KG was founded by Mathias Hatz in 1880. From the original repair business for agricultural machines and locomotives, it has developed into a globally active company which includes diesel engine construction, contract manufacture of conrods and crankshafts as well as system construction.
