Austin Quinn

Austin Quinn has a diverse work experience spanning over 20 years. Austin began their career as an IT Engineer at Flektor/Fox Interactive Media, where they worked on the Mydebates.org project for the 2008 Presidential Election. Austin then moved on to work as a Production Operations Administrator at MySpace, where they managed over 4000 servers and monitored networking infrastructure.

Quinn later joined textPlus as a System Administrator, where they installed and maintained a provisioning server and played a role in managing AWS. Austin also served as a Desktop Administrator, setting up and configuring a network for development purposes.

At TabbedOut, Quinn worked as a Sr. Development Operations Engineer, managing approximately 90 rackspace VMs and rebuilding the production infrastructure.

Austin then joined Playhaven as a Senior Development Operations Engineer, where they helped integrate newly acquired software architecture and migrated databases. Quinn also set up network monitoring systems and managed various services.

Following their time at Playhaven, Quinn joined RockYou as a Sr. DevOps Engineer, where they set up a new monitoring system, configured external monitoring services, and managed a Vertica cluster. Austin also installed and configured a Puppet server.

Quinn further developed their skills as a Sr. DevOps Engineer at 101 Network, where they performed cost analysis and migrated infrastructure to Kubernetes, resulting in significant cost savings.

At Wise Elements INC, Quinn worked as a Sr. DevOps Engineer, writing node.js cloud functions and managing Fastly CDN configurations. Austin also performed ETL-related functions and worked with storage buckets and bigquery tables.

Most recently, Quinn joined Hauler Hero as a DevOps Engineer in 2021.

In addition to their IT and DevOps roles, Quinn has experience as a Composer/Writer at American Mafia Records, where they composed and wrote musical scores for the entertainment industry. Their work has been featured in independent sitcoms, films, and music placements for shows like "The Real World" and "The Bad Girls Club".

Austin Quinn attended Monrovia High School from 1998 to 2001, where they obtained a Diploma. Following their high school education, they enrolled at Mt. Sierra College in 2001, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Technology. The end year of their studies at Mt. Sierra College is not specified.
