Patrick Lockett has been in the German shepherd community for over 25 years. Johann “Hans” Eiban,

Patrick’s grandfather started breeding German shepherds in 1969 under the kennel name, vom

Krumbachertal, out of Amberg, Germany. Hans was a well-respected breeder, judge, and the vice president in the Amberg community for years. Growing up in Europe allowed Patrick to surround himself with an abundance of knowledge about the dog training community. Patrick’s love for the breed and the sport of Schutzhund/ IGP continued throughout his development into the well-rounded trainer he is today.

His discipline for dog training has grown over the course of his studies as he has been mentored and coached by the best in the industry. In 2019, Patrick retired from his 20-year career as a Military service as a Reconnaissance and Security specialist to dedicate his time to his true passion, breeding, and training.Patrick’s expertise expanded once he discovered the world of modern dog training and NePoPo® system created by the grandfather of dog training, Bart Bellon. NePoPo® is a training system where the behavior of the dog is performed with heart and soul. NePoPo® is a negative-positive - positive training system. He has since become a NePoPo® Gold Premium Graduate of Bart Bellon, one of ten in the world.

Patrick has much success in the K9 Industry. Patrick is the Owner and CEO of Haus Amberg Shepherd, Owner and CEO of the Kigali Canine Center, President of Africa’s Canine Taskforce, SV certified helper and performance sport dog handler, head trainer at his SV club in Germany, Advisor and Trainer to the Rwandan Republic Guard Special Operations K9 Teams and Advisor to the Republican Guards Presidents Secret Service K9 Company.

Patrick served as the Chairman of the International Association of Canine Professionals (IACP) Legislative Committee from 2020 to 2021. He currently serves as the Chairman of the IACP European Members Committee.

He currently lives in Germany with his wife Alishia, and four children, where they have a family-owned kennel and training program that caters to families, K9 Units, Sports, and personal protection to name a few. He also holds private training, as well as group classes for those interested in obedience, tracking, or protection work.
