Barry A. Parks has a diverse range of work experience in the insurance industry and community involvement.

Barry A. started their career at Hausch and Company in 2015, where they served as the Director of Accounts, Client Services, and Strategic Partnerships. Barry A. also worked as an Insurance Claims Adjuster during their time at the company.

In 2016, Parks joined the National Association of Independent Insurance Adjusters (NAIIA). Within NAIIA, they held various roles including National Chair of the Legislative Committee, member of the Illinois Legislative Committee, Chairman of the Education Committee, and member of the Education Committee.

From 2015 to 2019, Parks was involved with the Western Loss Association (WLA), serving as the Administrative Co-Director and Chairman of the Membership Committee. The WLA focuses on property losses of various types and provides education and training to achieve efficient adjustment of such losses.

Parks also contributed to the Village of Lyons Parks and Recreation Department as a Commissioner of Village of Lyons Planning & Zoning from 2016 to 2019. Barry A. was responsible for maintaining planning documents, regulating land-use, and providing support services to relevant boards and commissions.

Furthermore, Parks served as a Board Member of the Lyons McCook Business Association (LMBA) from 2014 to 2019.

To strengthen their professional network and promote continuing education, Parks joined the Fox Valley Adjusters Association (FVAA) in 2015. Within FVAA, they held the position of Vice President, facilitating and promoting continuing education through regular meetings and special events.

Throughout their work experience, Parks has developed expertise in claims handling, client services, strategic partnerships, legislative affairs, education, membership management, and community planning and zoning.

Barry A. Parks AIC, AIS, AINS has a diverse education history. In 2018, they studied Risk Management & Insurance at The Institutes Knowledge Group. Additionally, in 2017, they obtained a Private Pilots License and an Instrument Rating Certificate from Niemeyer Aviation, specializing in Aviation. Barry also pursued Criminal Justice (A.A.) with a focus on security management at Moraine Valley Community College. Furthermore, they gained expertise in Army Field Artillery through their enrollment in the United States Armed Forces.

In terms of certifications, Barry holds numerous qualifications. Barry A. acquired the Associate in Claims (AIC) designation from The Institutes Knowledge Group in June 2022. In June 2020, they received the Associate in Insurance Services (AIS) certification from The Institutes. Additionally, they obtained the Associate in General Insurance (AINS) designation from The Institutes Knowledge Group in March 2020.

Barry also has several other certifications. Barry A. secured the Haag Certified Inspector Commercial Roofs V2 and Haag Certified Inspector Residential Roofs V2 statuses from Haag Engineering in December 2019. Moreover, they acquired the Certified Property Loss Appraiser (CPLA) and Certified Property Loss Umpire (CPLU) designations from Property Loss Appraisal Network (P.L.A.N.) in 2019.

In their pursuit of insurance expertise, Barry earned the Introduction to Risk Management and Insurance (RMI) qualification from The Institutes in 2018. In 2017, they obtained the Certified Insurance Appraiser (CIA) and Certified Insurance Umpire (CIU) designations from the National Association of Independent Insurance Adjusters NAIIA. Barry A. also obtained various state-specific adjuster licenses, including Florida Adjuster License All-Lines, Michigan Insurance Adjuster - Fire & Other Hazards, Indiana Insurance Adjuster - Property & Casualty, Kentucky Insurance Adjuster - Property & Casualty, Minnesota Independent Insurance Adjuster - Property & Casualty, and Texas Insurance Adjuster - All lines.

Barry's educational journey also includes completing the All-Lines Adjuster Course offered by The Adjuster Academy of Texas in 2015. Moreover, they received the Certified Insurance Appraiser and Certified Insurance Umpire titles in collaboration with the Windstorm Insurance Network, Inc.® - Property/Windstorm Insurance Claims Industry Member Association in 2018.
