John Besemer

John Besemer, PhD has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and industries. John is currently serving as the EVP Medical Director at Havas Health Plus since November 2022. Prior to that, they worked as the SVP Medical Director at Razorfish Health from September 2019 to November 2022, and as the SVP Medical Director at CDM New York from June 2012 to August 2019. John also served as the Scientific Team Lead at PAREXEL from January 2011 to June 2012, and as the Medical Director at BGB New York from October 2007 to January 2011. Before transitioning into the medical field, John pursued their academic career as a Post-Doctoral Fellow in Bioinformatics and Genomics at Georgia Tech from August 2003 to February 2005, where they conducted research and developed various gene finding programs. John also held a Post-Doctoral Fellow position in Bioinformatics and Molecular Evolution at Emory University from July 2002 to August 2003.

John Besemer, PhD, has an extensive education history in the field of bioengineering and bioinformatics. John began their academic journey at Hofstra University, where they earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Environmental Engineering Science (BEES) from 1991 to 1995. Following this, they pursued further studies at the Georgia Institute of Technology, obtaining a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering (MSME) with a specialization in bioengineering between 1995 and 1997. John's dedication to their field led him to pursue a PhD in Bioinformatics (Applied Biology) at the Georgia Institute of Technology from 1995 to 2003. John'sacademic achievements highlight their commitment to expanding their knowledge and expertise in the intersection of biology, engineering, and data analysis.
