Atia Irshad

Atia Irshad began their work experience in 1998 as a PR Officer, where they persuaded a client to publish a poetry book and organized a book launch. In 2000, they worked as a New Business Executive and Customer Service Advisor, generating leads for a Public Relations company and increasing sales. Atia then became self-employed in 2001, taking on PR projects for a photographer and successfully getting their work published. In 2001, they also joined Euro RSCG Riley as an Account Executive, building relationships with clients and preparing monthly spend reports. From 2005 to 2011, Atia worked as an Account Director for Penna Barkers, developing brand strategies and introducing clients to Social Media and Online methods. At Penna from 2011 to 2013, they served as a Senior Project Manager, overseeing various projects for Telefónica. From 2013 to 2017, Atia worked as the Head of Delivery at Tonic Agency Ltd, where they ensured client satisfaction and managed team resources for project delivery. From 2017 to 2020, they worked as a Freelance Integrated Project/Account Director, providing marketing and creative services on a freelance basis. Most recently, since 2018, Atia has been with Havas People, where they have held roles such as Head of Client Delivery, Managing Partner, Commercial Director, and currently as the Chief Operating Officer.

Atia Irshad completed their A levels and obtained 8 GCSEs in Media Studies, History and English, as well as Maths and English at Lliswerry High School in Newport. Atia then pursued a BA (Hons) in Media Studies at Sheffield Hallam University from 1997 to 2000. Following this, they enrolled at Coleg Glan Hafren in Cardiff from 2000 to 2001, where they earned a CIM Advanced Certificate in Marketing (CIM).
