Lora Slutsky

Lora Slutsky is the Counseling & Employment Supervisor at Have Dreams. Lora previously worked as a Clinical Counseling Intern at Clearbrook from January 2015 to June 2015, where they provided individual and group therapy to adults with developmental disabilities at four community-based group homes and day programs. Lora also participated in on-going group and individual supervision in order to foster development of clinical skills. Slutsky also worked as a Program Associate at Center for Companies That Care from December 2014 to February 2015, where they supported lead teacher in PEERS social skills instruction for high school students with social and behavioral limitations, and coordinated and facilitated provision of transition services to college-bound high school students with disabilities. Prior to that, they worked as a Vocational Intern at Orchard Village from September 2014 to December 2014, and as a Staff Member at Taglit-Birthright Israel from December 2010 to December 2010. Slutsky began their career as a Vocational Department Coordinator at Ivy Street School from January 2012 to July 2014, and also worked as a Hebrew Language Tutor at Boston Area Jewish Education Program from September 2009 to May 2012.

Lora Slutsky earned a Master of Science in Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling from the Illinois Institute of Technology, a Graduate Certificate in Job Development & Placement from The George Washington University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Education from Brandeis University. Lora is certified as a Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) by the Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification and as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation.
