HEC is a member-driven, nonprofit employer association that specializes in providing essential HR resources to more than 800 member companies in Hawaii.

Our goal is to ensure that you have the tools you need to make informed decisions and build effective employee relations strategy, all while reducing the likelihood of legal complications.

We’ve been in this business since 1943. Over the years we have assisted thousands of businesses just like yours with employment law guidance, human resources advice, management training, research and compensation services, labor relations support and collective bargaining agreement negotiations, and more.

It doesn’t matter if you have a simple question or need help with a more complex and nuanced matter, HEC’s staff of seasoned HR and labor relations experts is here to assist you at every step.

Membership in HEC is a cost-effective way to partner with an organization that is committed to supporting your managers and employees to maximize productivity and meet operational goals, all while reducing legal risk and building HR compliance. Wonder how one organization can do so much? Ask one of our more than 800 member companies across the state — many whom have been HEC members for several decades – why HEC is right for them. No matter what industry you’re in, whether you are a small start-up or one of the largest employers in Hawaii, or whether you are a local company or a national/international corporation operating in Hawaii, HEC can provide the tools and expertise your organization needs to thrive in a competitive market.
