Maggie Engebretson

Maggie Engebretson has a diverse work experience spanning different industries. Maggie currently holds the position of Director of Corporate Communications at Hawaii Gas since June 2023. Prior to that, they worked at the Honolulu Museum of Art, where they held multiple roles, including Director of Communications from November 2020 to June 2023. Before that, they were a Marketing and Communications Manager and a Development Officer at the same organization.

Before their time at the museum, Maggie ran their own PR and Consulting firm called Maggie Engebretson PR + Consulting from 2013 to 2018. Maggie also worked as a Publicist at Melissa Welles Public Relations from 2012 to 2018 and at Postcard Communications from 2011 to 2015.

Maggie has also gained experience in event management as the Head of Events at Mettā from 2017 to 2018. Prior to that, they worked as an Office Manager and Production Baker at Batter Bakery in 2009-2010.

In the earlier stages of their career, Maggie worked as a Strategic Account Manager and Online Marketing professional at LoopNet from 2006 to 2009. Maggie also served as a Tasting Room Associate at Bonny Doon Vineyard in 2005-2006 and gained experience in marketing and design at NAEGELI Deposition and Trial from 2004 to 2005.

Maggie Engebretson completed their high school education at Punahou School from 1987 to 2000. Maggie then pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Communication and Media Studies from Lewis & Clark College from 2000 to 2004.
