Carrie Nakamura is an experienced compliance and quality improvement professional with a robust background in healthcare. Currently serving as the VP and Chief Compliance Officer at HMSA since October 2016, Carrie has previously held various roles including Compliance Officer and Assistant Vice President of Compliance & Ethics, and AVP of Medicare Programs/Medicare Quality Performance. Prior experience includes positions at UnitedHealthcare, AlohaCare, and Hawaii Information Service, where responsibilities encompassed compliance, operations, quality improvement, and information technology. Carrie’s early career included IT communications roles in the United States Army and the Army Reserve.
