Ryan Nakahara

Ryan Nakahara is a seasoned IT professional with extensive experience in database administration and software engineering. Currently serving as a Senior Database Administrator at Hawaii Medical Service Association (HMSA) since October 2012, Ryan specializes in MS SQL database administration and SSRS. Prior to HMSA, Ryan worked as a Software Engineer at Clinical Laboratories of Hawaii, where responsibilities included Java application development and data analysis. Experience also includes contracting as a Systems Analyst for BAE Systems, developing a web-based dashboard system, and prior roles at the Dept. Of Health, where Ryan managed SQL Server administration for public health systems. Ryan holds a B.A. and A.S. in Information and Computer Science as well as Business Computer Information Systems from the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
