Shani Ma M.D.

Shani Ma, MD, is an OB/GYN Resident Physician at Hawaii Residency Programs since July 2022. Previously, Shani Ma was involved in research on Kawasaki Disease at Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women and Children from August 2017 to July 2022, collaborating with Dr. Andras Bratincsak. Shani Ma also worked at PhysAssist Scribes, Inc. as an Emergency Room Scribe and Trainer from May 2016 to July 2018, and held a role as a Research Scholar during the Summer Student Research Program at Hawaii Pacific Health in June 2017. Other experiences include serving as an Intern/Mentor and ICC Coordinator for Emergency Medicine Xperience at the University of California, Davis from May 2016 to July 2017, and working as a Health & Biological Sciences Peer Advisor and Logistics Director for the Whole Earth Festival at UC Davis between February 2015 and December 2016. Shani Ma earned a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Hawaii John A. Burns School of Medicine (2018-2022) and a Bachelor of Science in Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior with Honors from the University of California, Davis (2013-2016). Prior education includes graduation from Mid-Pacific High School.
