Michael Maier is an accomplished trombonist and educator with extensive experience in both performance and teaching. Currently serving as Second Trombone for the Boise Philharmonic Association since September 2018 and Acting Associate Principal/2nd Trombone for the Hawaii Symphony Orchestra since 2012, Michael also contributes as a music teacher for Young Musicians & Artists and as a musician for MCCALL MUSIC SOCIETY INC. In addition, Michael has experience as a guest adjunct faculty member at Boise State University on multiple occasions. With a solid educational foundation that includes a Master of Music from The Juilliard School and a Bachelor of Music from Northwestern University, along with an apprenticeship at the Zurich Opera Orchestra Academy, Michael Maier brings a wealth of expertise to the music community.
