Tara Shimooka

Tara Shimooka is an experienced communications professional with a strong background in public relations and marketing. Currently serving as the Manager of External Communications at Hawaiian Airlines since February 2015, Tara has progressed through multiple roles in the company, including Senior Specialist and Specialist in External Communications. Previously, Tara held the position of PR & Marketing Director at The Danny Kaleikini Foundation, focusing on promoting arts and education for youth in Hawaii. Tara began a career in public relations at Universal Music Group as Corporate PR Manager and gained early experience as an Executive Assistant at MTV Networks. Educational credentials include a degree from Cleveland State University and further studies at the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
