Alan Hong

Alan Hong is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in data analysis and energy systems. Currently serving as a Senior Data Systems Analyst at Hawaiian Electric since January 2018, Alan has held various roles including Corporate Analyst, Research Analyst, and Planning Analyst. Prior to this, Alan contributed to EnerNOC as an Energy Markets Associate, managing significant demand response projects in Taiwan and engaging with local utilities. Previously, as an Energy Engineer at Leidos for Hawaii Energy, Alan worked on smart grid initiatives and utilized business intelligence tools for data analysis. Alan also has experience as a Project Developer at General Energy Solutions Inc., focusing on renewable energy policies and feasibility studies, and as a Solar Systems Engineer at Green Source Technology, where substantial solar PV installations were developed in the Asia-Pacific region. Alan holds a Master of Engineering in Energy Systems from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from National Taipei University of Technology.
