Rick Pinkerton

Rick Pinkerton is an accomplished professional in energy and utilities management with extensive experience in asset planning and strategy. Currently serving as the Director of Asset Planning & Strategy at Hawaiian Electric since December 2016, Rick directs multiple departments focused on asset programs, analytics, and enhancing grid reliability and resilience. Prior roles include Manager of Asset Management Special Projects at Hawaiian Electric, and various consulting positions at F. R. Pinkerton & Company, LLC, UMS Group, and Utilities International, among others, where Rick specialized in developing and implementing strategies for energy infrastructure. Rick's educational background includes a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology and an MBA from Emory University - Goizueta Business School.
