Frances Oliver has an extensive background in psychology and healthcare, serving as the Director of Allied Health and Professional Lead for Psychology at Te Whatu Ora Te Matau a Māui Hawke's Bay since October 2011, along with a role as a Clinical Psychologist for the Older Persons Mental Health Service. Prior experience includes positions as a Clinical Psychologist in Stroke Services and Specialist Psychological Practitioner at NHS Dumfries & Galloway from October 2005 to September 2011, and as an Assistant Psychologist at North Cumbria University Hospitals NHS Trust from October 2003 to October 2004. Frances also contributed as an Assistant Language Teacher in the Japan Exchange and Teaching Program from August 2001 to August 2003. Educational qualifications include a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from The University of Edinburgh, a Postgraduate Diploma in Public Health from Massey University, and a NZ Certificate in Te Reo Maori from Eastern Institute of Technology. Currently enrolled at Te Wānanga o Aotearoa, Frances is pursuing further education until November 2024.
