Karyn Hathaway

Karyn Hathaway currently serves as the Programme Director for the Hospital Network at Te Whatu Ora Capital, Coast and Hutt Valley, a position held since January 2024. Prior to this role, Karyn was involved in service planning and project management for the Hospital Redevelopment Programme at Te Whatu Ora Te Matau a Māui Hawke's Bay from April 2023 to January 2024. Karyn also worked as a Senior Health Planner at Destravis Pty Ltd from August 2022 to March 2023. Karyn's extensive experience includes a long tenure at Capital & Coast District Health Board from September 2000 to August 2022, where Karyn held the roles of Senior Commissioning Manager for the Hospital Network and served as an ICU Charge Nurse and Flight Nurse. Additionally, Karyn was a Senior Clinical Lecturer at the Occupational and Aviation Medicine Unit, University of Otago, from 2009 to 2016.
