Ruby Kent-Royds

Ruby Kent-Royds is a Doctor at Te Whatu Ora Te Matau a Māui Hawke's Bay since 2023, with a solid foundation in public health research acquired during a tenure as a Research Assistant at the University of Otago in 2020. This role involved significant contributions to projects analyzing alcohol consumption, health impacts, and ethnic health inequalities, guided by Dr Amanda Jones. Ruby’s diverse experience also includes roles in retail sales and administration, as well as COVID-19 contact tracing with the Ministry of Health New Zealand. Ruby holds a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and Psychology from the University of Otago. Academic achievements include graduating with Excellence endorsement from Hutt Valley High School.
