Chris Comber

Chris Comber is an experienced finance professional currently serving as the Chief Financial Officer at Hawke's Bay Regional Council since February 2022. Prior roles include Head of Finance at Hawke's Bay District Health Board from September 2017 to January 2022, and Accounting Manager at Napier City Council from November 2016 to September 2017. Chris also held the position of Financial Recovery Coordinator at Homerton University Hospital Foundation Trust for a brief period in 2016, and served as Head of Central Financial Management and Head of Financial Management at Barts Health NHS Trust from August 2010 to April 2016. Additionally, Chris was Head of Financial Management at Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust from 2008 to 2010. Chris holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Administration degree in Accountancy and Commercial Law from Victoria University of Wellington, completed between 1988 and 2000.
