Kathleen Kozyniak is a seasoned environmental professional with extensive experience at Hawke's Bay Regional Council since April 2010, where roles have included Team Leader for Air and Land Science and multiple tenures as Acting Manager of Science. In these capacities, Kathleen has guided air quality and climate scientists and managed various environmental projects, promoting a coordinated approach to environmental research. Prior to this, Kathleen served as a Meteorologist at NZ Metservice, gaining expertise in marine, aviation, and public forecasting, and previously worked as a Consents Officer at Hawke's Bay Regional Council. Kathleen's academic background includes a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Bristol, a Master of Science from The University of Waikato, and a Certificate of Proficiency in Meteorology from Victoria University of Wellington.
