Shannon Weaver

Scientist Marine & Coast at Hawke's Bay Regional Council

Shannon Weaver is an experienced marine and coastal scientist currently working at Hawke's Bay Regional Council since May 2022. Previous roles include serving as Bycatch Programme Coordinator at the Department of Conservation from July 2018 to April 2022, a Marine Scientist on secondment at the Ministry for Primary Industries for a brief period in mid-2021, and an internship with Sustainable Coastlines in mid-2018. Additionally, Shannon served as a Campaign Assistant for LegaSea - Fish for the People from July 2015 to October 2017. Shannon holds a Master's degree in Environmental Science from The University of Waikato and a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science from The University of Auckland.
