Paul Dempsey

Paul Dempsey has significant work experience in the field of biomedical research and diagnostics. Paul co-founded Hawkeye Bio, Inc. in 2018 and currently serves as the Chief Scientific Officer. Prior to that, they worked at Cynvenio Biosystems, Inc. for seven years as the CSO, where they contributed to the development and commercialization of liquid biopsy technologies for cancer diagnostics and drug development. Paul also held the role of VP BioEngineering R&D at Cynvenio Biosystems from 2010 to 2013. Before joining Cynvenio Biosystems, Paul worked at UCLA as an Assistant Research Professor from 2002 to 2009 and as a Post-Doctoral Fellow from 1998 to 2002. Paul also worked as a Consultant at Biotic Laboratories from 2008 to 2009.

Paul Dempsey received their Bachelor of Science (Honors) degree in Microbiology and Virology from the University of Warwick. Paul then went on to pursue their Ph.D in Immunology from The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
