Gareth Dobinson is a seasoned forensic engineer currently serving as Regional Manager - Principal Associate at Hawkins & Associates since August 2011, with a primary focus on investigating incidents and losses related to fires, explosions, road traffic accidents, and engineering issues. Prior to this role, Gareth contributed to Xerox from August 2006 to July 2011, initially as a Graduate Engineer and later as a Senior Software Engineer, which included international assignments in Malaysia, Singapore, and the USA. Gareth began at Xerox in an industrial placement as a Systems Engineer from August 2003 to August 2004. Academically, Gareth holds a Master of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from Loughborough University, completed between 2001 and 2006, and attended Bayside Comprehensive for GCSE and A-Level qualifications from 1995 to 2001.

A preliminary report is produced within three days of the scene visit, setting out the most probable cause and a proposed strategy for further investigation.
