Euan Macdonald

Partner & Neighborhood Lead at Hawkins Brown Architects

Since joining Hawkins/Brown Euan has contributed towards a diverse portfolio of projects covering the residential, education and commercial sectors. More recently, he has developed a particular interest in Civic buildings, and the search for creative responses to the diverse needs of their communities.

He has led the delivery stages of one of the practice’s largest projects, the award-winning Corby Cube with its complex mix of uses, technically demanding spaces and wider regeneration agenda. This contemporary landmark is in contrast to his previous project, the sensitive conservation and extension of the Grade II listed Stoke Newington Town Hall and Assembly Rooms, itself receiving a number of design and conservation awards.

Euan’s critical and enquiring mind means that he rarely takes things at face value, always striving for a better solution to every problem. His calm but authoritative manner make him a confident champion of a good idea, and allow him to keep even the most challenging project on track.
