Jason Martin

Partner & Conservation Lead at Hawkins Brown Architects

Jason leads one of Hawkins\Brown’s design studios managing a range of projects across commercial, education, cultural civic and residential sectors. Jason’s passion lies in steering and supporting his talented team of architects to fulfill the Hawkins\Brown stated purpose of creating places with personality and purpose that are well-made, well-used and well-loved.

Jason is an accomplished architect with a string of award winning buildings in his portfolio. He has recently overseen the completion of Here East - a ground-breaking scheme to transform the former press and broadcast centres on the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park into 1.2 million sqft of commercial space for London’s creative and digital industries. His innovative approach is evident in the Student Enterprise Building for Coventry University – a building widely seen as a new model for student social and study space in the UK. His understanding of material qualities and attention to detail can be seen on projects such as Wysing Arts Centre in Cambridgeshire.

Jason is an active member of the British Council of Offices and has lectured at conferences and events such as Clerkenwell Design Week and EcoBuild. He currently sits on the architectural competition judging panel for the WAN Awards.
