David Brinkmann

David Brinkmann is a seasoned professional in bio-process engineering with extensive experience across various sectors, including biotechnology and chemical engineering. Currently serving as Lead Process Strategist at Arborea since November 2018, Brinkmann provides bio-process engineering input for technology development and corporate strategy. Simultaneously, as Engineering Partner at Hawkwood Biotech Partners, consultancy services are offered to clients for bio-process projects. Previous roles include VP Manufacturing at Creo, focusing on cannabinoid production through fermentation, and VP Engineering Technology at TerraVia Holdings, where involvement in micro algal bio-processing was emphasized. With a career spanning over four decades, Brinkmann has held leadership positions at companies such as CP Kelco, Tate & Lyle, and Weyerhaeuser, contributing to process development, scale-up, and technology transfer.
