Jurgen Dominik

Jurgen Dominik is an accomplished engineering partner at Hawkwood Biotech Partners since 2017, specializing in techno-economic modeling, manufacturing strategy, downstream process development, and commercialization strategies. With extensive consultancy experience dating back to 2000, notable clients include A E Staley, Huber, and Lehman Brothers. Prior to Hawkwood, Jurgen held leadership roles at Solazyme as VP of Technology and Production, where significant advancements in microalgal processes were achieved, and at CP Kelco in various senior leadership positions, managing global operations post-NutraSweet merger and overseeing R&D and engineering. Jurgen also contributed to Merck's Kelco Division, enhancing productivity in xanthan gum production and serving in multiple capacities within the company. Early career experience includes roles at Dow and Sohio Oil Company, supported by an Executive MBA from Stanford, an MBA from INSEAD, and a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Ohio University.
