Colm McCarthy

Colm McCarthy is an experienced orthopaedic surgeon currently serving at Hawthorn Medical Associates since July 2023. With a strong background in hip and knee replacement and orthopaedic trauma, Colm has held significant roles including an orthopaedic surgeon at Saint Anne's Hospital from August 2021 to July 2023, and a hip and knee reconstruction fellow at Brigham and Women's Hospital associated with Harvard University from June 2020 to September 2021. Active in professional organizations, Colm contributes to the Canadian Orthopaedic Association's Gender and Diversity Task Force and has held leadership positions in various medical associations, including Vice Chair of the Ontario Medical Association's Section of Residents. Colm's educational background includes a residency program at McMaster University, complemented by a Master's Degree in Health Science Education, and an MDCM from McGill University, along with undergraduate degrees in Chemistry, Biology, and French.
