Jessica MacDonald

Jessica MacDonald is a Senior Engineer at Hawthorne Effect, Inc. since December 2020, contributing to advancements in engineering within the cannabis industry. Previously, Jessica held the position of Software Architect at Akerna Corp. from March 2010 to November 2020, where the first solution for seed-to-sale tracking was developed, evolving into the enterprise-level MJ Platform. As an Independent Contractor from August 2006 to December 2012, Jessica specialized in custom web application development for various clients. Earlier experience includes roles at National Instruments from July 1998 to August 2006, where Jessica managed IT applications and collaborated with multiple functional areas. Jessica earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management Information Systems from The University of Texas at Austin in 1998.
