Desiree Akande

Desiree Akande has a long history of work experience, beginning in 2007 with Jason's Deli as a Closing Supervisor and Catering Coordinator. In 2010, they took on the role of Employer Relations Ambassador at the Career Resource Center. In 2012, they were an Administrative Assistant Intern at the US Department of Health and Human Services. In 2015, they became a Patient Service Representative/Trainer at WellStreet Urgent Care. In 2016, they were a Practice Manager at Gwinnett Clinic. From 2018 to 2021, they worked at athenahealth, first as a Coaching and Training Services Associate, then as a Senior Coaching and Training Services Associate. Finally, in 2021, they became a Senior Training and Engagement Manager at Hayes.

Desiree Akande has an extensive educational background. Desiree obtained their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Anthropology with a Minor in Business Administration from the University of Florida in 2013. Following this, they completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Georgia State University - J. Mack Robinson College of Business in 2016, and a Master of Healthcare Administration from Georgia State University in 2017. Desiree has also obtained various certifications, including Elearning Essentials: Instructional Design and How to Design and Deliver Training Programs from LinkedIn in 2021, Business Analysis Foundations from LinkedIn in 2020, Negotiation Skills from LinkedIn in 2019, Train the Trainer from LinkedIn in 2019, and Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
