Preston Quinlan began their career in 1995 as a Regional Manager at Medic Computer Systems. In 2000, they moved to Misys Healthcare Systems as a Senior Relationship Manager. In 2004, they joined Allscripts, where they held the roles of Expert Client Success Manager, Allscripts Outcome Executive, Manager of Client Advocates - East Region, and Senior Relationship Manager. Most recently, in 2021, they became a Customer Success Manager at Hayes.

Preston Quinlan received a Bachelor of Business Administration - BBA in Information Systems Operations Management from The University of Toledo between 1986 and 1990. Prior to that, they attended Cardinal Stritch High School between 1982 and 1986.
