Malaka Rathnayaka

Malaka Rathnayaka has worked for Hayleys Advantis Limited and SriLankan Airlines Official.

At Hayleys Advantis Limited, they first served as a Graduate Engineering Trainee from October 2017 to October 2018. Malaka then advanced to the role of Maintenance Engineer from October 2018 to April 2021, where they performed preventive and predictive maintenance activities on conveyors and material handling equipment. Later, they became a Senior Maintenance Engineer, starting in April 2021, responsible for engaging in compliance-related audits such as ISO 22000: 2018, 45001: 2018, 9001 - 2015, and implementing practices like Good Distribution Practices (GDP) for pharmaceutical products and business social compliance initiatives.

At SriLankan Airlines Official, Malaka Rathnayaka worked as a Maintenance Engineer from July 2016 to July 2017.

Malaka Rathnayaka attended General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University from 2013 to 2017, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science - Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering. In 2021, they enrolled at the University of Moratuwa to pursue a PGD in Occupational Health and Safety, specializing in Occupational Safety and Health Technology/Technician. In addition to their formal education, Malaka obtained certification as an Associate Member of the Institute Of Engineers Sri Lanka in August 2021. Malaka also holds a Certificate in Hydraulic and Pneumatic Technology from the Ceylon German Technical Training Institute, obtained in 2019.
