Ling Chen

Ling Chen has extensive experience in materials science and corrosion engineering, currently serving as a Senior Staff Engineer in Corrosion at Haynes International since August 2019. Prior to this role, Ling Chen worked at FuelCell Energy as a Senior Material Scientist, where important contributions included developing innovative coating materials that significantly extended the service life of molten carbonate fuel cell hardware. Earlier positions include postdoctoral research at Argonne National Laboratory, focusing on advanced ceramic membranes for gas separation, and a visiting scholar role at the University of Houston, where studies on solid oxide fuel cell materials were conducted. Ling Chen holds a Ph.D. in solid state physics from the Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Science, along with an M.S. and a B.S. in solid state physics and physics, respectively, from Shandong University.
