Emily Buchanan

Emily Buchanan is a partner at Haynes and Boone, LLP, specializing in representing commercial policyholders in insurance coverage disputes within the Litigation and Insurance Recovery Practice Groups in the Dallas office. Since September 2016, Emily has played a pivotal role in the firm, and additionally serves as an adjunct professor at the University of Tennessee College of Law, teaching Insurance Law since January 2023. Earlier experience includes working as a law clerk for the University of Tennessee General Counsel, conducting legal research on various areas of law, as well as roles as a summer associate at both Haynes and Boone and Husch Blackwell. Educational credentials include a Juris Doctor from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Baylor University.
