Amy Hansen

Amy Hansen is an experienced obstetrics nurse currently working at Hayward Area Memorial Hospital and Water's Edge Senior Living since April 2021, where responsibilities include the primary care and evaluation of obstetrical and neonatal patients. Previously, Amy served as a Specialty Clinic Manager, enhancing practice growth in multiple specialties. Prior to that, Amy worked as a Labor and Delivery Nurse at UnityPoint Health – Meriter from July 2014 to April 2021, providing comprehensive care in various obstetrics settings. Our 25 bed critical access hospital is connected to medical clinics, a long term care center and assisted and independent living apartments. We offer specialty services including orthopedics and urology, and area primary care physicians have privileges to see and treat patients in the hospital and Water’s Edge. Hayward Area Memorial Hospital & Water’s Edge employs over 390 people. The hospital was designed to aid in the restoration of health. Large private rooms support patient privacy. A sleeping couch in each patient room allows someone to stay with a young child or critically ill relative, in addition, attractive waiting areas support family involvement. An active volunteer organization assists staff in meeting the needs of patients and their families.
