Meghan Owens

Meghan Owens is an experienced educator currently serving as a Teacher at Haywood County Schools since July 2020, where responsibilities include utilizing differentiated instruction and planning classroom lessons in line with North Carolina standards. Prior to this role, Meghan taught fourth-grade subjects at Cherokee Central Schools from August 2017 to July 2020, and acted as a Science Olympiad coach for three years. Earlier experience includes a Mathematics Teacher position at Corpus Christi Independent School District and a Case Manager role at Goodwill Industries of South Texas, Inc., working with clients with disabilities. Meghan began their professional career as an Infection Preventionist Assistant at Driscoll Children's Hospital. Meghan holds a Bachelor's Degree in Health Science from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi.
