Ginny Katz, MPH, has a diverse education history that spans several institutions and fields of study. Ginny began their educational journey at the University of the Nations in 2009, where they obtained a certificate in Introduction to Primary Health Care-Primary Health Care Worker. This certificate focused on primary health care, HIV and STI prevention, and patient education and counseling for underserved areas.

In 2009, Ginny attended San Antonio College, pursuing a Pre-Medical degree with a focus on healthcare and medicine. Ginny completed their studies at the University of Texas at San Antonio from 2011 to 2013, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Health.

Seeking further specialization, Ginny pursued a Master of Public Health with a concentration in Global Health at Oregon State University from 2016 to 2018. This degree focused on international health and expanded their understanding of public health on a global scale.

Ginny continued their education at Oregon State University, where they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Human Geography from 2018 to 2022. This PhD program allowed their to delve deeper into the intersection of human geography and public health, emphasizing spatial analysis and understanding the social and physical factors that contribute to health disparities.

In addition to their academic degrees, Ginny has obtained various certifications to enhance their professional skills. Notably, they obtained certifications in emergency management from the Emergency Management Institute | Federal Emergency Management Agency, including the National Response Framework, An Introduction, ICS for Single Resources and Initial Action Incident, Introduction to Incident Command, and National Incident Management Systems.

Ginny also acquired the Oregon State University Conflict of Interest Course certification from the CITI Program, FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate from the Federal Aviation Administration, Healthcare Provider CPR and AED certification from the American Heart Association | American Stroke Association, and Wilderness First Aid Certification from SOLO Wilderness Medical School.
