Erin P. Shields

Erin P. Shields currently serves as the National Director of Development Communications at the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation, where leadership focuses on fundraising communication strategies and maintaining consistent messaging for the organization. Prior to this role, Erin provided strategic consulting for nonprofit organizations through Shields Advancement Communications, and held positions including Director of Business Development and Copywriter at Rescigno's, Director of Strategic Donor Engagement at the Alzheimer's Association®, and Vice President of Communications at the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago Foundation. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Speech/Communication Studies from Northwestern University and a Certificate in Direct Marketing from DePaul Driehaus College of Business.
