Mic Hunter

Mic Hunter is a seasoned psychologist currently practicing at Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation since July 2023. Previous experience includes providing psychological evaluations for Veterans at Optum Serve and maintaining a private practice from February 2017 to October 2023. With a strong background as a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist at Spirithaven from October 2002 to October 2023, Mic Hunter is also an accomplished author focusing on psychological and spiritual issues, notably publishing "The Twelve Steps and Shame." Between 1997 and August 2013, Mic Hunter facilitated communication workshops for couples at Hazelden's Renewal Center. Additionally, Mic Hunter worked as a photographer and artist from 1982 to 2010. Educational qualifications include a BA in Psychology and American History from Macalester College, an MA in Human Development from Saint Mary's University of Minnesota, an MS in Educational Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Superior, and a PsyD in Clinical Psychology from Argosy University Twin Cities.
