Joe Thompson has over 40 years of work experience in the construction industry. Joe started their career at The Christman Company, where they worked in various positions, including Trade Foreman, Project Superintendent, Project Manager, Chief Estimator, and Vice President/Shareholder. During their time at The Christman Company, they were responsible for procurement and operations and played a key role in developing estimating systems and training management personnel.
In 2005, Joe joined HBE Corporation as a Senior Vice President. Joe provided leadership and oversight for construction activities in the northeastern United States. Joe also developed strategic efforts for presentations and interviews.
Since 2011, Joe has been working at Clark Construction Company as a Senior Project Manager. Joe is currently managing several major projects, including healthcare, mixed-use development, and federal ACOE facilities in the Midwest. In this role, they oversee the daily tasks of the construction management staff and field operations.

Joe Thompson attended the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, MY from 1971 to 1972, where they studied engineering. Joe then transferred to Michigan State University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Engineering/Economics from 1972 to 1976.
