Kyfer Bushe-Jones

Kyfer Bushe-Jones has extensive experience in the field of cybersecurity. Kyfer currently works at HBF Health as the Head of Defensive Cyber Operations. In this role, they lead two teams, the Cyber Security Incident Response Team and the Cyber Security Engineering team, and is responsible for developing and delivering cybersecurity incidents, advising senior leaders on cybersecurity threats, and developing strong relationships across the organization. Kyfer also founded Zeal Cyber, a cybersecurity company. Prior to their current position, they worked at Commonwealth Bank as a Security Delivery Manager and Cyber Security Engagements Specialist, where they facilitated penetration testing and application security services and designed and implemented a penetration test engagement tracking and findings management tool. Kyfer also worked at Murdoch University as a part-time teacher and at Bankwest as an Application Security Consultant, Cyber Security Advisor, and Identity & Access Management Consultant and Analyst.

Kyfer Bushe-Jones completed the Ignition program in Executive Education at Curtin University in 2021. Prior to that, from 2012 to 2016, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Internetworking and Security at Murdoch University. Additionally, from 2012 to 2014, they also earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Business Information Systems from Murdoch University. Along with their academic achievements, Kyfer has obtained several certifications, including First Aid for Mental Health and HLTAID011 Provide First Aid from St John WA in December 2021. In January 2017, they also achieved the CISSP certification from (ISC)².
